Is your favorite sport "beach lounging"? We have excellent news for you! You don’t have to travel to the Baltic Sea to lie on a wide, sandy beach. The shores of Lake Zegrzyńskie have been developed in many places to closely resemble seaside, sandy beaches. You can comfortably lay out a blanket or a sun lounger and enjoy this uniquely holiday atmosphere... just under Warsaw. Most of the Zegrzyńskie beaches have an extensive tourist infrastructure, including: new and well-maintained sanitary facilities, rentals of various equipment, and catering services.
One of the most picturesque Zegrzyńskie beaches is the so-called "Wild Beach" in Nieporęt, located on the southern shore of the reservoir. Since 2010, it has only been "wild" in name. The local authorities have secured funding, which was then invested in the development of this most visited tourist spot by the reservoir. Currently, "Wild Beach" in Nieporęt features a wide sandy strip along the shoreline, beautiful walking paths (with a total length of about 1 km), a charming wooden pier, plenty of greenery, a playground, an outdoor gym, and bicycle paths. Of course, there are modern sanitary facilities at the beach, including showers located in close proximity to the water. Beachgoers can use, among others: rentals of bicycles and jet skis, kayak rentals, and a guarded swimming area (including a zone for non-swimmers and a wading pool for children). An additional advantage of this place is its proximity to well-known and popular dining establishments (including chain restaurants) and a varied accommodation offer. Moreover, Wild Beach is one of the stops on the historical water route of "King Stefan Batory," which is cyclically recreated in the form of an interesting spectacle.
Another beautiful beach by Lake Zegrzyńskie is the municipal beach in Serock, where various cultural and sports events take place. This place is well-developed and maintained, offering a range of additional attractions for children... and not only! The youngest beachgoers can take advantage of the water and traditional playground, while those a bit older can enjoy their time at the outdoor gym. Tourists also have access to fields and specially designated green areas where they can play soccer, volleyball, or basketball. A significant attraction of this beach is the floating pier, where boats dock, as well as the possibility of renting various water equipment. Modern sanitary facilities and changing rooms operate at the beach, and nearby, there are numerous bars and taverns.
